LPM Group (Bovolenta, Italy) a supplier of machines, equipment and tooling for aluminum and magnesium low pressure and gravity die casting, has acquired 100% of the share capital of FATA Aluminum LLC in Auburn Hills, Michigan.

FATA, which makes foundry equipment & machinery––including casting systems and carousels, sand regeneration systems, piston casting machines, core making equipment and casting finishing systems––owns Mexico-City-based FATA Aluminum Foundry Systems SA de C.V. that has a plant in Saltillo (Coahuila). In addition, LPM has acquired certain intellectual property rights from MRB Aluminum LLC.

LPM Group says the acquisition will further its ability to supply U.S. aluminum casting companies and serve them with sand removal and regeneration.
