Sinto Advocates for the Future of US Metalcasting

AFS Corporate Member Sinto America welcomed U.S. Rep. Tom Barrett of Michigan, (D-7th) to their manufacturing facility in Grand Ledge, Michigan, on August 25. The meeting highlighted the vital role foundries play in the U.S. economy, while providing an opportunity to discuss industry successes, challenges, and the foundry equipment needed to produce high-quality castings. 

Congressman Barrett also met with Sinto employees, whom the company calls dedicated professionals who form the backbone of the industry. During the visit, Michael Halsband, Sinto America president and an AFS Board Member, presented comprehensive data from AFS that showcased the size, scale, and economic impact of the U.S. foundry industry. He also shared a brief history of Sintokogio and Sinto America, highlighting their long-standing contributions to advancing metalcasting technology and supporting American manufacturing.
