Diecaster Pace Industries, Fayetteville, Ark., has entered into a relationship to supply components to LED lighting maker Lighting Science Group Corp., Satellite Beach, Fla., on an ongoing basis.
According to a press release issued by Lighting Science Group, Pace Industries’ Harrison, Ark., division will supply the customer’s Florida manufacturing facility with components for its residential, commercial and infrastructure product lines.
Lighting Science Group said the “manufacturing alliance” is expected to increase its manufacturing capacity and efficiency. The company said it recently has required a reduction in supply times for critical LED-product metal castings.
“This is a perfect American manufacturing match,” said Zach Gibler, chief executive officer of Lighting Science Group. “The relationship will not only help increase our manufacturing capacity and efficiency, but it will also provide an opportunity to grow our U.S. workforce and increase sales.”
In order to meet increasing demand for its products, Lighting Science Group expects to expand its manufacturing capacity in the near future and tap Pace Industries for increased supply requirements of diecast components.
“In an era where many manufacturing jobs are being created overseas, this alliance will assist in creating jobs right here at home,” said Scott Bull, Pace Industries’ chief executive officer.
Pace Industries, formerly known as Leggett & Platt Aluminum Group, has 14 manufacturing facilities in the U.S. and Mexico, including nine diecasting divisions.
