Modern Equipment Co. Inc., Port Washington, Wis., has signed a license agreement with Støtek Danmark ApS, Vojens, Denmark, that will allow it to manufacture Støtek’s range of tower furnaces and large holding furnaces for the North American market.

The agreement, signed at CastExpo’10 in late March, is an extension of the strategic alliance signed by the companies in 2009, under which both companies market each others products. Støtek retains the right to sell its complete product range through its joint venture Støtek Inc., Pewaukee, Wis.

“We are confident of Modern’s ability to produce the Støtek products for this market and look forward to continuing our mutually beneficial relationship,” said Pat Brown, Støtek president.

Modern is a subsidiary of ALCO Industries and manufactures its own range of tower furnaces and pouring ladles. Støtek manufactures crucible, dosing, holding and tower furnaces and launder systems.
