Grieve Corp.'s 500F electrically-heated, rotary hearth oven currently is used for preheating magnesium alloy castings prior to a shrink fit operation at a customer’s facility.

Workspace dimensions of this oven measure 48 in. wide x 48 in. deep x 60 in. high.  34.8KW installed in Nichrome heating elements furnish the heat, while a 2,000 CFM, 2-HP recirculating blower provides horizontal airflow across the load.

A two-tiered 44-in. diameter solid hearth with perforated separators at 900 is manually rotated during loading and unloading.

This Grieve oven features 4-in. insulated walls, an aluminized steel interior and exterior, plus two independent air-operated doors for access to the workspace.

Safety equipment is on-board to handle flammable solvents, including explosion-venting door hardware, manual reset excess temperature controller, back-up heating element relay, separately-powered forced exhauster, exhauster airflow safety switch, recirculating blower airflow safety switch and purge timer.

A digital indicating temperature controller is also included on this oven.
