Maus USA Inc., Virginia Beach, Va., has signed Hunter Automated Machinery Corp., Schaumburg, Ill., to be a sales representative for its grinding equipment in the U.S., Canada and Australia.

Maus, headquartered in Padua, Italy, is a supplier of automated cleaning room machinery, among other things. Hunter is a supplier of automated molding machinery and other equipment for green sand casting plants.

For Maus, Hunter will provide sales and service representation, as well as perform grinding tests on castings and machine utilization studies for metalcasters. Maus will continue to supply technical assistance, application engineering and replacement parts support from its existing Virginia Beach technical center.

The two companies signed an agreement to cement the relationship at CastExpo’10, held March 20-23 in Orlando, Fla.

“We see great potential in this agreement, as our machines will now be represented by a name known to [metalcasting facilities] worldwide,” Maus marketing manager Sandra Selwan said during the CastExpo announcement.
