Sperian Protection, Smithfield, R.I., announced that its flagship brand, Uvex, has launched the new Uvex ExtremePro style of safety eyewear. Uvex ExtremePro stands up to the most extreme environments – including intense heat and humidity – making it ideal for work in metalcasting facilities, chemical plants, metalworking, machining, pulp and paper, shipbuilding, and the oil and gas industries. Featuring the most advanced coatings and innovative comfort features, Uvex ExtremePro lasts longer and performs better in rugged environments that demand site-specific eye protection.
Uvex ExtremePro is available with Uvex’s new Supra-Dura anti-scratch coating that provides five times more scratch resistance than other coatings on the market, Uvextreme Plus anti-fog coating or Dura-streme dual anti-fog/anti-scratch coating. The style’s replaceable MoistureWick brow accessory absorbs and wicks away perspiration to keep lenses clear in high heat and humidity.
Uvex ExtremePro’s GripClick frame width adjustment and FlexFit bendable temples and nosepieces ensure a comfortable, customized fit for most face sizes. Four-position ratcheting temples make it easy to adjust the lens angle for a close fit. The eyewear meets the ANSI Z87.1- 2003 (high impact) and CSA Z94.3 safety standards and comes with a lifetime frame guarantee.
