Flow Science Inc., Santa Fe, N.M., announced it has entered into a cooperative agreement with AlchemCast LLC, Pelham, Ala., to provide computational fluid dynamics consultancy services to the iron and aluminum sand casting industry.

AlchemCast provided developers at Flow Science the empirical data necessary to validate the new core gas generation model in its latest software. The consulting firm, headed by Charles Bates, will continue to provide supporting data and advice for further developments of Flow Science’s modeling software.

“This agreement will enable iron and aluminum [metalcasting facilities] to more-easily benefit from…simulation methods, in order to design and produce their parts better and faster,” said Thomas Jensen, Flow Science president.

Flow Science is a privately-held software company specializing in transient, free-surface computational fluid dynamics software for industrial and scientific applications worldwide. AlchemCast is a privately-held company providing consulting services to the metalcasting industry.
