KMT Robotic Solutions Inc., Auburn Hills, Mich., and Acme Manufacturing Co., also of Auburn Hills, announced they have formed an alliance focused on serving investment casters.
The two companies together will offer automation solutions primarily for aerospace and medical device producers, with a focus on investment shell and core material removal, as well as gate cut-off, grinding and polishing.
“With our experience in the investment casting industry, it was clear to Acme the value that more effective shell and core removal processes can bring to the gate cut-off and grind processes,” said Fritz Carlson, president of Acme Manufacturing. “That is why we’re excited about the technology KMT is bringing to the market.”
KMT develops, designs, builds, services and supports robotic cutting, trimming and cleaning solutions for manufacturers; Acme Manufacturing designs and manufactures surface finishing systems.
