Core provider Supreme Cores of the Carolinas Inc., Lancaster, S.C., announced it has opened a new facility in Alabaster, Ala.

The company plans to use the facility, Supreme Cores Alabama Inc., to serve the metalcasting industry in the Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee markets.

The new facility will initially offer cores manufactured in the shell and nobake processes. The company plans to begin offering coldbox cores in the second half of 2010.
