Camito and SwePart Verktyg, subsidiaries of NovaCast Technologies, Hässleholmsvägen, Sweden, recently received an order for a set of cast progressive tools from Finnveden Metal Structures.

The order includes cast die shoes, complete dies and a more than 6-ton press pallet. The four progressive tools included in the order will have a total weight of almost 20 tons. The die shoes will be cast at the Camito Technology Center metalcasting facility, and the dies will be cast by SwePart. Delivery will be made during the fall of 2009.

“This is the second significant order from Finnveden in a short period of time,” said Rolf Mastenstrand, Camito chief executive officer. “We have developed a good cooperation and are happy and proud to be able to mobilize a Swedish manufacturing cluster in times of hard international competition.”

NovaCast, which supplies the metalcasting industry with simulation and other types of software, also makes metal castings for the automotive and trucking industries through Camito and SwePart. The companies primarily make cast stamping dies for forming body components.

Finnveden makes products and components in steel, aluminum and magnesium for the automotive sector and general industry.
