Thresher Industries Inc., Hanford, Calif., announced it has completed and shipped an order of aluminum castings to Onodi Tool & Engineering Co., Melvindale, Mich.

Onodi Tool & Engineering is a privately-held manufacturer and assembler serving the U.S. Government and Tier One combat vehicle manufacturers. The company provides parts for the Abrams M1 tank, eight-wheeled Stryker vehicle and other military vehicles.

“We shipped our first Onodi Tool & Engineering order in late 2004, and they have been a customer since our inception,” said Tom Flessner, Thresher’s chief executive officer and president. “We have seen a steady increase in quote activity from Onodi. We are thrilled to expand our relationship with Onodi upon completion of this order. We are supplying a number of quotes to the company now and anticipate securing additional orders from Onodi later this year.”

Thresher makes aluminum and metal matrix composite die castings for the agriculture, aerospace, defense, transportation and automotive markets.
