Permanent mold conglomerate Stahl Specialty Co., Kingsville, Mo., and Alcast Co., Peoria, Ill., have executed a strategic alliance that will allow technology and resource sharing between the companies.
According to a press release issued by Alcast, the alliance is intended to provide its customer base with a complete sourcing option and reduce the risk of sourcing to multiple parties in a time of supply chain distress. While the companies will continue to operate as two separate businesses, they will share technical capabilties and marketing strategies.

Alcast provides machined permanent mold castings through its proprietary bottom-fill, electromagnetic low pressure casting system and CNC turning. Both companies serve the agriculture, heavy truck, construction, marine, recreational vehicles, and lawn and garden markets.
Stahl maintains more than 550,000 square feet of manufacturing space in multiple metalcasting facilities in Kingsville and Warrensburg, Mo. Alcast has more than 110,000 square feet of manufacturing space in its Peoria plant.
