Traffic: moderncasting.com more than doubled its monthly unique visitor count between February and November 2008, peaking in November with nearly 11,000.  As our methods for marketing the site become more and more sophisticated, and bolstered by bi-weekly issues of the Hotline Online e-newsletter, we expect traffic to continue to increase steadily.

Key statistics:

• Average page views per visit: 9.76.  Number of display advertisers is capped at 10 for this reason; each advertiser is thus likely to be seen on nearly all moderncasting.com visits.
• Over 89% of visitors arrive at moderncasting.com either through bookmarks or by typing the address in directly.  This means a lot of repeat traffic, and new traffic is driven more by external sources (like the magazine) than search engines or any other web resource.

Premium positioning: Online display advertisers have the option of sponsoring regular site features such as the audio feed or the blog.  If you choose this option, your ad will appear exclusively on those pages.

Ad clutter: a great many B2B websites seem to take pride in bombarding visitors with as many ad messages as possible.  In the interest of providing a more satisfactory browsing experience for both visitors and advertisers, availability is currently limited to one ad position per page.  Advertisers take sole ownership of the page on which their ad appears, and less-distracted users can focus on the message they see.
