Maus and Tal Manufacturing Alliance Announce First Machine Print E-mail
The first machine produced from the new alliance between Maus sPA, Padua, Italy, and Tal Manufacturing Solutions Ltd., Pune, India, was introduced last week.

The machine is a fully featured CNC vertical turning center, Veriturn VTC.
Maus, part of the Carraro Group, and Tal Manufacturing Solutions, the machine building group of Tata Motors, Ltd., entered into a formal agreement to build vertical turning centers for various metalworking concerns in the summer of 2007.

Typical parts machined on the Veriturn VTC include brake discs, brake drums, hubs, bearings, gears, aluminum wheels, and other large components.

“It was a great satisfaction for us to see this first machine produced so quickly, following the formal agreement with Tal,” said Roberto Sammartin, managing director of Maus, in a press release.

The Veriturn VTC features a cast iron base, CAD-optimized rigid construction, high-precision linear motion guideways for the x and y axes, high spindle torque at up to 5,000rpm for machining large parts and difficult materials, 18-position tool changer, live tooling on larger models and an available automatic rotary pallet changer for high productivity.
