Released on March 7, 2008

Ryobi Die Casting Inc., Shelbyville, Ind., recently received top honors for quality from Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America Inc.

Delivered in Covington, Ky., at the company’s Annual Supplier Business Meeting and Awards Ceremony, the awards acknowledged suppliers who have met Toyota’s highest standards in quality and delivery.

Ryobi Die Casting, a subsidiary of Ryobi Ltd., Hiroshima, Japan, makes aluminum high pressure die castings for the automotive industry, as well as printing equipment, power tools and builders' hardware.

“I am honored to accept the Excellent Award for Quality for the sixth consecutive year,” said Tom Johnson, president of Ryobi Die Casting. The success of this acknowledgement can be traced to Ryobi’s team of 700 associates who work hard every day to produce high quality castings.”

Ryobi Die Castings, which currently operates out of its Shelbyville diecasting facility, announced in April 2007 it plans to open a new facility in Irapuato, Mexico, this year. According to a company press release, the facility is on track to be completed in August 2008.
