Aerospace Investment Company Builds New Plant Print E-mail

Released on February 28, 2008

Aerospace investment metalcaster American Aerospace, Phoenix, Ariz., will begin production in its new 40,000-sq.-ft. facility at the start of next month, according to a company spokesperson.

American Aerospace currently is in the process of moving its production capacity to the new location and expects to begin operating from there April 1. The company, which is maintaining full production capacity at its existing plant until the changeover is complete, already has moved more than 600,000 lbs. of equipment and its administrative offices to the new building.

American Aerospace Technical Castings has been producing aerospace and commercial investment castings for customers such as Boeing, Goodrich AG, Fischer Advanced Composites and Parker Hannifin for more than 20 years.

“The new facility is minutes from Sky Harbor, doubles our manufacturing area and uses lean principles we began using over a year and a half ago,” said Larry Bredengerd, plant manager. “The new layout significantly improves our product flow.”
