Carrier Vibrating Equipment, Louisville, Ky., recently opened a new manufacturing facility in Shanghai, China, citing increasing demand in the growing industrial nation.

The 8,400-sq.-m facility, established under Carrier Vibrating Equipment (Shanghai) Co. Ltd., is located in the Pudong district of Shanghai, China. The facility will offer the same vibratory process solutions that Carrier develops at its existing plants.

“Although Carrier has operated in China and other Far East markets for many years, our expanding customer base in the region required a direct manufacturing presence,” says Brian Trudel, president and CEO of Carrier.

The new center will support local service and sales personnel that have worked for Carrier in China for more than 20 years.
