North American Galvanizing & Coatings Inc., Tulsa, Okla., announced the opening of a technical center at its corporate headquarters.

The company, a provider of hot-dip galvanizing and coatings for corrosion protection of steel products, will use the center to house its current engineering department, which is being reorganized to incorporate an expanded customer technical support function and product and process development activities.

“We also look to utilize the facility to expand our internal company support activities,” said Kevin Halstead, director of engineering. “Projects to enhance plant operating efficiencies, reduce energy usage and improve product quality will be our primary focus.”
