The parent company of Dexter Foundry Inc., Fairfield, Iowa, Dexter Apache Holdings Inc., has acquired ice producer Leer Limited Partnerships, New Lisbon, Wis.

The company already maintained diverse interests, with holdings in manufacturing, financial services and distribution. The acquisition of Leer further diversifies the firm’s portfolio of companies.

“Leer will serve as an important growth engine for Dexter Apache and allow us to leverage a number of important synergies between our companies while adding further diversification to our business,” said Patrick Albregts, the company’s president and CEO.

In addition to Leer and Dexter Foundry, Dexter Apache owns Dexter Laundry Inc., Fairfield, Iowa, Apache Stainless Equipment Corp., Beaver Dam, Wis., Dexter Financial Services Inc., Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Century Laundry Distributing Inc., also located in Cedar Rapids.
