Supreme Cores Inc., Milwaukee, recently acquired Ottawa Shellkore, Ottawa, Ill.

In the acquisition, the terms of which were undisclosed, Supreme Cores took ownership of more than 25 stock core boxes and two additional pieces of machinery. The core supplier will gain 16 customers and four to five employees in the transaction. The company’s Milwaukee operation currently employs 65 and supplies sand cores and molds to more than 125 metalcasters in the U.S. and Canada. It also has a three-shift operation in South Carolina.

According to a release issued by Supreme Cores, Ottawa Shellkore has chosen to pursue other opportunities in machining castings.
