Hayes Lemmerz International Inc., Northville, Mich. announced it will sell two of its suspension facilities and close its Ferndale, Mich., technical center.

The company will sell its facilities in Bristol, Ind., and Montague, Mich., to Diversified Machine Inc., Waite Park, Minn. The closing of the Ferndale technical center will result from the relocation of the company’s Automotive Components Group to its world headquarters in Northville. The company plans to sell that facility, as well.

According to a company press release, the actions were taken in an attempt to streamline Hayes Lemmerz' business in North America and focus its global resources on core businesses.
