Modern Equipment Co., Port Washington, Wis., recently acquired a new 165,000-sq.-ft. manufacturing facility.

Modern Equipment’s previous space encompassed 115,000 sq. ft. The new building is located a short distance down the road from the existing plant, and the company plans to continue production during the move.

“The new plant will enable us to manufacture our products in a more efficient manner and consolidate all operations under one roof,” said President Verne Socks.

Modern Equipment is a manufacturer of aluminum melting systems, iron cupolas and emissions systems, ladles, inert gas generators, custom pressure vessels, and subcontract fabrication and machining services.

“In order to meet the needs of our customer base and better serve our industries, the move is a natural progression for us,” said David Magnuson, director of business development.
