Exact Metrology Inc., Algonquin, Ill., has purchased Berding 3D Scanning, Cincinnati, and the two firms will continue to operate under the Exact Metrology name.

Berding 3D Scanning, a reverse engineering and lasers scanning provider, joins Exact Metrology to offer customers inspection, non-contact laser scanning and 2-D/3-D digitizing services, as well as reverse engineering. Exact Metrology performs both short-range scanning for product development and long-range scanning for large items such as facility layouts. The new company will also offer sales, service and implementation of metrology equipment.
