Columbus Steel Castings, Columbus, Ohio, has licensed software to assist in handling its information databases.

B & L Information Systems, a provider of metalcasting-specific software, will provide the company with Odyssey software, which the company says helps metalcasters “maximize their resources, minimize costs and improve profitability.”

“We needed to replace our legacy system with an easy to use, state of the art, [metalcasting]-specific enterprise resource planning system,” said Pat Nolan, a member of the committee at Columbus that selected the software.

Columbus, a division of Columbus Holding Corp., employs 1,000 and services the rail car industry, transportation and mining.
