ThyssenKrupp Waupaca, Waupaca, Wis., has commissioned a casting and sand handling system for its recently announced Etowah, Tenn., expansion from General Kinematics Corp., Crystal Lake, Ill.

ThyssenKrupp broke ground on the $162 million expansion on Sept. 24; it will include a new ductile iron production line, expected to be fully operational in 2009. General Kinematics’ installation will include shakeout, casting and sprue sorting, casting cooling, and casting alignment prior to continuous blast.
