Two Metalcasters Achieve Magma Certified User Status Print E-mail

Personnel from Premier Aluminum LLC, Racine, Wis., and Hodge Foundry, Greenville, Pa., have achieved Certified Magmasoft User status.

Magmasoft is a suite of casting simulation software provided by Magma Foundry Technologies Inc., Schaumburg, Ill. Premier Aluminum, part of Ligon Industries LLC, is a permanent mold aluminum casting and machining shop. Employee Jason Lythjohan earned the certification by undergoing a Magma-provided training program. Ian McNally earned the certification for Hodge Foundry, which produces large gray and ductile iron castings in the nobake process.

Magma Foundry Technologies offers training programs to its licensees so they can better utilize the software and learn practical approaches to applying the technology to their metalcasting process. The Certified Magmasoft User is the highest achievable training level the company offers.
