Progressive Foundry Inc., Perry, Iowa, has installed a new coldbox core machine to increase production in response to new orders.
The family owned, high production job shop will add the new core machine to its existing coldbox machine, which it installed in 2008 to convert from shell cores. Both machines were provided by LaempeReich Corp., Trussville, Ala.
Progressive Foundry produces gray and ductile iron castings on one squeezer line and four automatic molding machines in 100,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space. The company pours castings from a few ounces to 100 lbs. and fulfills production orders from five pieces to thousands of pieces.
