The machine is capable of processing aluminum diecastings, forgings, flame-cut shapes, fabrications and automotive parts with an airless wheel blast process. Parts and components are loaded onto a manganese wire mesh table or fixtures which rotate through the blast zone, exposing the parts to top and bottom mounted blast wheels. The compact design of the unit allows for quick installation with no pits. Wheelabrator products include standard and customized systems to meet individual customer requirements.

Thresher Introduces Bio-Degradable Cores Print E-mail
Thresher Industries, Inc., Hanford, Calif., a manufacturer of precision recycled aluminum and advanced metal matrix composite parts, has announced the Nautilus Core System ("Nautilus Core"). Developed by Thresher Industries, the Nautilus Core is a proprietary bio-degradable manufacturing process of producing cores for use in aluminum and magnesium casting. The system allows the core to be removed easily through high-pressure steam or water and can rest in areas not suitable for sand or foam core. The Nautilus Core can be used to generate internal and runner shapes as well as passages in virtually any metal casting, including high-pressure casting and permanent mold casting as well as plastic parts.
