Corbitt Manufacturing Co., St. Charles, Mo., recently won a new contract that will account for more than 10% of the company’s annual sales when it reaches full production, according to Bob Bristow, plant manager.

Just more than one year ago, the permanent mold aluminum job shop hit a downturn that caused it to take a step back and investigate whether it wanted to continue in the business. The company’s executives decided to push on, with a focus on lean initiatives.
