Deere Waterloo's New Melt Shop

Deere Waterloo's new melt shop is fully automated.

Robotic Melting 		No operator is required in the high-temperature areas of the plant.

Robotic Melting 2 		The robot on the melt deck checks the melt chemistry and temperature and slags off the bath.

Deere Waterloo has added a fourth furnace to increase its melt capacity.

The Full Melt Shop 		While the company hasn't made many changes to its holding furnaces, it has consolidated the number of melters needed to feed them.

Action in the Holding Furnace 		Melt deck employees work in a climate controlled room and rarely need to approach the furnaces or robotics.
